Recreation Ground

South Creak's recreation ground provides a large open space for residents to enjoy.   The facilities encompass a football pitch with goal posts, bowling green, tennis courts, a children's play area and outdoor gym.  

The Play Area has equipment suitable for children of 5 years to 14 years, this includes, swings, see saw, rotaweb and multi-play unit.  There is also equipment available for younger children aged 2 years to 5 years, this includes, toddler swings, hedgehog springer, a multi-play camper van unit, rubber mushroom spinning seats and twister play panels.

Our outdoor gym consists of six pieces of equipment, including

  • Air Skier for balance and co-ordination

  • Air Walker for a cardiovascular workout

  • Combi Pull Down & Chest Press for upper body strength

  • Tai Chi Spinners for flexibility & coordination.  This is an all-inclusive option for wheelchair users

  • Elliptical Cross Trainer for a cardiovascular workout

  • Pedal Bike  to assist with balance  and coordination

Dogs are welcome but have to be kept under control at all times, especially when off the lead and ALL dog mess has to be removed. 

Dogs are NOT allowed in the play area

A litter bin is also provided to ensure the area is kept clean and tidy.   

Burnham Market Community Car Scheme

Burnham Market Area Community Car Scheme organises volunteer drivers to take passengers for medically-related appointments from Wells-next-the-Sea and surrounding area to the east and coastal villages, west to Old Hunstanton and approximately 20 miles inland. 

The scheme attends local surgeries including Burnham Market, Wells-next-the-Sea, Docking, Hunstanton, Fakenham Medical Centre and Gayton Road Medical Centre. It also attends hospitals such as, the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, Addenbrooke's Cambridge, Papworth, Queen Elizabeth King's Lynn, Sandringham Hospital, Kelling, Wisbech and Wells Community Hospital etc. 

It also visits opticians, physiotherapists, dentists, podiatrists, day centres and care homes. Whilst medical appointments are its main aim it also arranges hospital and nursing home visiting, and sometimes this includes shopping. Collection and delivery of prescriptions.

Passengers pay 45p per mile for journeys.
